Hello Everyone,

My name is Jim Arnold, and I have been a professional wood carver for the last 18 years.  My area of focus has been in creating custom themed chess sets.   I recently moved to the Elkin, NC area.  I have a standard listing of my work which can be viewed at yessy.com/jimarnold, but what I enjoy best is to work one on one with my clients and bring THEIR idea for a chess set to life.  Any theme in any size.  I do realize that my designs are not suitable for tournament play (I am currently working on turning Staunton styed pieces for tournament play), my designs have received big smiles and thumbs up from such chess greats as Yuri Averbach and Yuri Guaranin and can be found in the collections of the world's most prolific collectors.
