Hey Guys,

Well two days ago I begun my first CC chess tournament.  Having just played the first two moves in my six game event, I'm pretty certain which openings that I'm looking at.  My question is, does anyone know of a great online website that offers free chess databases of games that I could use in my research of the games that I'm play?

As of right now, I only have the QCCA games that we have, the 1.5 million offered in Fritz 12 and the games that are stored on GameKnot.com.  So, if anyone has any favorite locations where I can download games at for reviewing, I would appreicate it.

Thanks,
~charlie

Charlie,

The best one is probably www.chessopeningsdatabase.com

Others include the one Dan mentioned, and chessgames.com, but the problem with the last one is you can't search via specific positions.

The otnly downside to the first one mentioned is if you play something with numerous move orders, you may have to try different orders to find games.
