Hey All,

Well as some of you might know by now, I have received a job offer that I have accepted.  The kicker, it is in Wisconsin so I'm going to be relocating soon.  In fact, I'm moving next weekend.  For those of you who have missed me at the club the past few weeks it was because I was out of town interviewing and such.

So, I would like to take a chance to thank everyone in the club for helping to create a great atmosphere to where I could play chess, grow in my skill level (I was rated under 1200 when I started playing chess in Charlotte and I'm not just over 1600).  I have had a good time organizing and running the QCCA chess tournaments and the last NC Class that I played in created some very great memories.

I am going to try really hard to make it the club next Tuesday.  My flight and moving schedule have me in Milwaukee through Monday night and then on Wensday I'm leaving Charlotte with all my junk in a UHaul truck for the long drive.  I might not play on Tuesday but I do hope to stop in to see everyone one last time.  I can also add that the move back to Wisconsin is something that my wife and I had been thinking about lately and this was the deciding factor behind me resigning from the Executive Team.  I didn't want to make any decisions for the club if I wasn't going to be around to support those decisions.

Okay, I'm at an airport right now so I should get going.  It was fun though and if anyone makes it up to Milwaukee or Chicago for a tournament, drop me a line who knows I might be making an appearance at it as well.

Thanks again,
~charlie

Charlie

I wish you the best of everything with your move and new situation in Milwaukee. Our loss will be Wisconsin's gain.

Thanks for everything you've done here. You've been supportive as a member and did a great job as a leader of the club. You will be missed as a friend and as a contributor to the QCCA.

I hope you find your way down here occasionally. We will be keeping up with your progress in Wisconsin.
